Job summary

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join the development team. Your primary focus will be to assure the quality of our cybersecurity product, Arcanna.AI. You will work using Agile methodologies and your purpose will be to ensure releases are made frequently, without bugs that could impact our production or client's environment.


Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise in functional and regression testing
  • Apply business and functional knowledge including testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology to meet the team's overall test objectives
  • Ensure all testing results are easily accessible and understandable
  • Writing and maintaining integrations and end-to-end tests (Python preferred)
  • Document and report test executions and all identified quality issues from different test environments
  • Track defects to closure and keep the defect repository up-to-date
  • Well-versed in test report preparation, defect tracking reporting and present this to senior management
  • Understand the business need and develop user cases to catch defects early in the cycle
  • Review/analyze business requirements (user stories) and acceptance criteria
  • Proactively bring issues and problems to the attention of the team
  • Suggest solutions to identified product problems
  • Running regression and automation suite
  • Design and execute both manual and automated tests (functional and non-functional) to ensure specific quality levels according to the business requirements
  • Support the definition of test automation concepts for complex implementation and migration projects
  • Organize and conduct demo sessions for business stakeholders and support them during UAT
  • Proactively identify and suggest improvements in our QA procedure/strategy

About you

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience as a QA Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies
  • Proficient with bug tracking and test management toolsets
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development process is a plus
  • Experience in API testing
  • Abstract thinking & ability to solve complex problems
  • Technology-agnostic skills
  • Analytical thinking
  • Self-reliant - ability to find solutions on your own
  • Capability to assimilate new information and apply the concepts in existing environments
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Fluent in English

Education and certifications

  • IT engineering or computer science diploma 
  • Software testing certifications and courses are considered a great plus
